A panel of seven independent experts grades nine companies across 37 indicators in six domains (risk assessment, current harms, safety frameworks, existential safety, governance and accountability, information sharing). Summer 2026 grades ranged from C+ (Anthropic) to F (xAI, DeepSeek, Mistral) and the index includes company-specific recommendations.
